Hillary Writes Op Ed in the NY Daily News…

…on why she is still running. 

My previous post laid out Rachel Maddow’s theory but I forgot one aspect of Maddow’s analysis.  IF neither candidate gets the magic number of delegates (2026) then Hillary can take the race to the convention and argue that “all bets are off” .  That the committed delegates are NO LONGER COMMITTED and anything goes.  That is her NUCLEAR OPTION.  To drag this to the convention.

Past history shows us that those Democratic candidates who had to rely on the delegates and party heads to straighten out any disagreements do NOT win the election.  Maddow says that if history is any bellweather of what will happen at the Democratic National Convention, McCain will win.  

However, I really will cannot buy into that logic.  I believe that the super delegates will come to their senses and place Obama over the top BEFORE Denver.
